Ginny Erwin, MS, RD, LDN, CPT received her B.S. in Nutrition Science and Dietetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her M.S. in Nutrition Communications and Marketing from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Ginny currently has her private practice in Boca Raton, FL where she provides nutrition and lifestyle intervention home visits called “Healthy House Calls” (going to clients” homes and assessing food and lifestyle choices and recommending healthy alternatives) in addition to her other nutrition and fitness services. Abbie E. Smith, M.S., CSCS, CISSN is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oklahoma where she co-coordinates the Metabolic and Body Composition Laboratory. She received her B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Truman State University, and her Masters at the University of Oklahoma. Abbie is currently studying under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey R. Douglas S. Kalman, Ph.D., RD is a Director in both the Phase I Unit and Departments of Endocrinology and Nutrition Division of Miami Research Associates (MRA). He has been active within the sports nutrition community for more than 15 years. Dr. Kalman has worked with professional, collegiate and high-level amateur athletes in and outside of the U.S. He is the Past Chair of the Nutritionists in Complementary Care-DPG, is a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition and is a Spokesperson for The International Society of Sports Nutrition and The National Strength and Conditioning Association. Dara Wittenberg is a Certified Endurance Coach with USAT, USAC, USATF and RRCA. She has been a personal trainer for 10 years and a triathlon coach for seven. Liza Kampstra started out competing in triathlons and adventure races but didn’t feel that she was achieving her personal best. Her running coach recommended trying something different, so she met with Carla Sanchez and joined the Performance Ready Team. Twelve weeks later she entered her first Figure competition and took 2nd place at the 2006 Colorado State Figure Championships. Later that year, she placed 2nd at the Carla Sanchez Fitness Fiesta. In 2007 she competed in four national shows with her best placing being 5th at the Jr. Nationals in Chicago. At the 2008 Jr. Nationals she took home a 2nd place trophy, and went on to achieve IFBB Pro status at the Team Universe in New York by coming in 2nd in Class B.
Joel Giacobbe, M.Ed. became an educator, strength coach and bodybuilder after earning his Masters from Auburn University. He is a past winner of the 1985 Southern States Bodybuilding Championships Light Weight Open Division and in 2006 won the Southern States Bodybuilding Championships Light Weight Over 40 Division 21 years later at 42 years old. Aspen Schmidt made history in July 2008 in CO by becoming at age 16 the youngest NPC Fitness State Champion ever. She is also preparing to compete next weekend in Pittsburgh at the NPC Teen National Fitness Championships. At the age of nine she found her talent for gymnastics, and at age 15 when her school started a team she was one of 10 girls in CO to make the all-conference team in the Floor Exercise, which is very similar to a fitness routine. Her mother began training with Jenny Lewis at the beginning of 2008, which lead her to the Carla Sanchez Performance Ready Team, for whom Aspen competed when she won the historical State Championship.

Cathy Cox, M.S. received her degree in Public Health in 2003, but losing 115 pounds with the aid of eDiets.com helped her to further define and focus both her personal and professional interests in health and fitness. After graduating from Oneonta, she attended Tufts University in Boston, MA, where she received her M.S. in Nutrition Issues and Food Policy. She next went to Tulane University in New Orleans and completed her internship to become a Registered Dietitian.
