David Sandler, M.S., CSCS*D, CCS, HFD is President and Co-Founder of StrengthPro Inc. He is a doctoral candidate at the University of Miami and has been a strength and conditioning consultant for more than 19 years. He has presented more than 230 lectures with organizations such as the NSCA, ACSM, AAHPERD, IFPA, SWIS, ECA and SCW Fitness. David has authored or co-authored five books: Sports Power, Weight Training Fundamentals, The Resistance Band Workout Book, Plyo Power, and Strength Training Everyone. He has also been the lead exercise and sports physiologist for more then 30 episodes of television for National Geographic’s series Fight Science, Super Strength, the Science of Steroids, Humanly Possible, and the Emmy Award winning Sport Science series on Fox Sports Network. He is the Chairman of The Arnold Strength Training Summit at the Arnold Classic and is a consultant and member of the advisory board for Muscle and Fitness magazine and the Performance Training Journal of the NSCA. He is a former powerlifter and focuses his research in strength and power development.


Disa L. Hatfield, Ph.D., M.A., is currently an assistant professor at the University of Rhode Island in the Department of Kinesiology. Dr. Hatfield earned her first Master’s degree in psychology at Antioch University, Santa Barbara and her second in Kinesiology from the University of Connecticut and her Ph.D. from the University if Connecticut. Dr. Hatfield’s research interests include the hormonal responses to resistance exercise, particularly the responses of Insulin-Like Growth Factor I and Growth Hormone. Dr. Hatfield also has research experience investigating the role of supplementation and resistance exercise, children and exercise, and the weight-loss and health benefits of differing diets in combination with resistance training. She is also a 3-time National Champion Powerlifter and former American Bench Press record holder. She is an active participant of the ACSM and NSCA.

Jon Torine is in his 10th season as strength and conditioning coach of the Colts. Torine oversees all aspects of the club’s strength, conditioning and nutritional programs. He previously served as a conditioning assistant with the Buffalo Bills from 1995-97, where he was involved with the same aspects of the Bills’ programs. In his position with the Colts, Torine has the primary responsibility of developing a year-round strength and conditioning routine for all players. Torine supervises players’ diet/nutritional needs throughout the year, and he coordinates all meal plans for home and away games. He also assists the team’s medical staff with the rehabilitation of injured players. Torine has served on panels for the United States Olympic Committee, the American College of Sports Medicine, Gatorade/Gatorade Sports Science Institute and Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN). Torine has served as a speaker for the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Center.  Torine played football at Springfield Mass. College. He received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Torine is a native of Livingston, N.J. He and his wife, Ilana, reside with their sons, Spencer and Isaac, in
Mark D. Stephenson, CSCS,*D, ATC is the Director of the NSCA’s Human Performance Center. He received his bachelors’ degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Rhode Island College and His Master’s in Health Science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). Mark has over 17 years experience working with elite, professional, Olympic, collegiate, and high school athletes.  Coach Stephenson currently works with members of the Colorado Springs Police Tactical Enforcement Unit, Colorado Springs Police Canine Unit, US Army Special Forces 2nd Battalion, 10th Group out of Ft. Carson. Coach Stephenson is currently a Doctoral candidate at RMUHP working towards his Doctorate of Science in Athletic Training. His area of research focuses on metabolic training.
