Abbie Smith, M.S., CSCS, CISSN is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oklahoma where she co-coordinates the Metabolic and Body Composition Laboratory. She received her B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Truman State University, and her Masters at the University of Oklahoma. Abbie is currently studying under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey R. Stout, where her research is focused on nutritional and training interventions to improve performance, general health and body composition. She has contributed to the scientific community at the NSCA and ACSM since 2005 and continues to share the latest research through her column in the Sports Nutrition Insider, scholastic books and through various peer-reviewed journals.
Gina Lombardi, NSCA-CPT is one of the most sought after fitness experts in the entertainment business. She is host of Fit Nation on the Discovery Channel’s FitTV, their only investigative reporting show. Gina has a regular column in HEALTH Magazine called “Inside Track,” where she tests and reviews health and fitness products.
