Jose Antonio, Ph.D. has earned a B.S. in Biology, an M.S. in Exercise Physiology and a Ph.D. in Muscle Physiology. He also completed a post-doctoral research fellowship in Endocrinology and Metabolism. After leaving academia Jose gained a position with nutrition products leader MET-Rx. Anna Lepeley, M.S., CSCS, CISSN is currently working on her Ph.D. with Touro University International. Her dissertation work will focus on ergogenic aid effects with females. As a former competitive and aggressive inline skater, up until her 20′s, and a passionate weightlifter since the age of 8, Anna’s active youth directed her straight into the realm of Exercise Physiology and Sports Nutrition. Anna received her M.S. in Exercise Physiology from Florida International University specializing in strength and conditioning. Abbie Smith, M.S., CSCS, CISSN is a doctoral candidate at the University of Oklahoma where she co-coordinates the Metabolic and Body Composition Laboratory. She received her B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Truman State University, and her Masters at the University of Oklahoma. Abbie is currently studying under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey R. Stout, where her research is focused on nutritional and training interventions to improve performance, general health and body composition. Gina Lombardi, NSCA-CPT is one of the most sought after fitness experts in the entertainment business. Ginny Erwin, MS, RD, LDN, CPT received her B.S. in Nutrition Science and Dietetics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her M.S. in Nutrition Communications and Marketing from Roosevelt University in Chicago. Ginny currently has her private practice in Boca Raton, FL where she provides nutrition and lifestyle intervention home visits called “Healthy House Calls” (going to clients” homes and assessing food and lifestyle choices and recommending healthy alternatives) in addition to her other nutrition and fitness services. Rick Bloomer, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor within the Department of Health and Sport Sciences at The University of Memphis. Cassandra Forsythe, PhD, CSCS, CISSN is a graduate of Exercise Science and Nutrition from the #1 Kinesiology doctoral program in the U.S at the University of Connecticut (2009). Her research specialty is low-carbohydrate ketogenic diets, dietary fatty acids, resistance training, and their relationships to diabetes, heart disease and body composition. She also holds a M.S. in Human Nutrition and Metabolism and a B.S. in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. With her certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and a Certified Sports Nutritionist (CISSN), Cassandra coaches women of all ages and sports at her personal training studio in Connecticut, or online, to attain their athletic and body composition goals. She also is a well-known author. Mike “Vinny” Varrato, MS, CSCS is currently a Strength and Conditioning Coach at Tenafly Racquet Club in Tenafly, NJ just outside New York City. Mike works in an elite tennis player program called CourtSense where he trains players from children to professionals. Mike previously started his career for the Philadelphia Phillies and their Double A affiliate Reading Phillies. Mike received a Master’s degree from Florida Atlantic University in December 2006 and is a former roommate of co-host Anna Lepeley (His biggest claim to fame). Mike has worked and interned for/under Florida Gulf Coast University, Perfect Competition, David Sandler/Strengthpro, Florida International University, Providence Bruins, Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning, and various football, hockey, and tennis camps.
Mike Irr, CSCS, is the Strength and Conditioning Coach of the NBA team, Charlotte Bobcats. He previously served as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Chicago Bulls. He earned his degree from the University of Connecticut and is a member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Erik Helland, is the Bulls’ Strength & Conditioning Coach and one of the NBA’s most respected and tenured strength coaches. He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he earned his degree in Physical Education with an emphasis on athletic training and coaching.
