Jon Torine is in his 10th season as strength and conditioning coach of the Colts.Â Torine oversees all aspects of the clubâ€™s strength, conditioning and nutritional programs.Â He previously served as a conditioning assistant with the Buffalo Bills from 1995-97, where he was involved with the same aspects of the Billsâ€™ programs. In his position with the Colts, Torine has the primary responsibility of developing a year-round strength and conditioning routine for all players.Â Torine supervises playersâ€™ diet/nutritional needs throughout the year, and he coordinates all meal plans for home and away games.Â He also assists the teamâ€™s medical staff with the rehabilitation of injured players.Â Torine has served on panels for the United States Olympic Committee, the American College of Sports Medicine, Gatorade/Gatorade Sports Science Institute and Sports Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN).Â Torine has served as a speaker for the National Strength and Conditioning Association.Â Center. Â Torine played football at Springfield Mass. Mark D. Stephenson, CSCS,*D, ATC is the Director of the NSCAâ€™s Human Performance Center. He received his bachelorsâ€™ degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from Rhode Island College and His Masterâ€™s in Health Science from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. He is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA). Mark has over 17 years experience working with elite, professional, Olympic, collegiate, and high school athletes. Â Coach Stephenson currently works with members of the Colorado Springs Police Tactical Enforcement Unit, Colorado Springs Police Canine Unit, US Army Special Forces 2nd Battalion, 10th Group out of Ft. Carson.Â Coach Stephenson is currently a Doctoral candidate at RMUHP working towards his Doctorate of Science in Athletic Training. His area of research focuses on metabolic training.
