Jerry Martin is the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator of the Strength and Conditioning program for the University of Connecticut. Coach Martin is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with Distinction (CSCS*D) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as a Certified Level I coach from the United States Weightlifting (USAW). He received the National Strength Coach of the Year Award from the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2004. While at UCONN his program has been involved in 8 National Championships, 1 Bowl Championship and a bronze medal with USA Women’s Field Hockey. Coach Martin earned his Masters degree in Exercise Training and Testing. He is also a conference speaker at both the regional and national levels.
Tom Myslinski is entering his fourth season as a member of the Browns’ coaching staff and his third as strength and conditioning coach. This marks his second stint with the team, having served as the club’s assistant strength and conditioning coach in 2004, while also working on a part-time basis in both 2002 and 2003.
Myslinski had a nine-year NFL playing career as an offensive lineman, which started as a fourth-round draft choice of Dallas in 1992. He played in 60 games with 25 starts during that time, including stints with Chicago (1993-94), Jacksonville (1995), Pittsburgh (1996-97, 2000), Indianapolis (1998) and Dallas (1999).
While playing in the NFL, Myslinski served as a volunteer assistant strength and conditioning coach at the University of Pittsburgh from 1998-2001, where he worked primarily with offensive and defensive linemen. Prior to his stint at Pittsburgh, Myslinski spent 1996 as the volunteer head strength and conditioning coach at the University of North Florida, where he managed all aspects of physical and mental development with the school’s student athletes. He has also served as a martial arts consultant to numerous collegiate athletic programs.
