Steve Plisk has over two decades in the trenches as a Sports Performance and Strength & Conditioning professional. He is the Proprietor and Director of Excelsior Sports, a coaching and consulting service specializing in a multidisciplinary “best practices” approach to athlete preparation and professional education. He is a Certified Strength & Conditioning
Specialist (recertified with distinction) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association. He has prepared elite football players for the NFL such as Andy Alleman of the New Orleans Saints, Jake Bender of the New York Jets, and Justise Hairston for the New England Patriots. He earned his BS in Sport & Exercise Science at SUNY Buffalo, and
his MS in Kinesiology at the University of Colorado.

Andrea Hudy joined the Kansas staff as Associate Director of Strength and Conditioning in September 2004. Hudy handles the strength and conditioning responsibilities for the University of Kansas Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams and Volleyball team. Hudy came to Kansas after nine and a half years at the University of Connecticut, where she worked closely with the Huskies’ National Champion Men’s and Women’s Basketball teams. In all, Hudy was part of eight national championship teams while at Connecticut - two men’s basketball; five women’s basketball; and one men’s soccer.
A native of Huntingdon, Pa., Hudy was a four-year letter winner in volleyball at Maryland where she graduated in 1994. Her freshman season at Maryland, she was a member of the 1990 Atlantic Coast Conference volleyball Championship Team. Hudy earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology at Maryland and her Masters of Arts degree in Sport Biomechanics from Connecticut. She is a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a USAW Level I Coach.
