Sabres Weekly 9-20-07

The Sabres season is ready to get underway on Friday night with the preseason opener.  The team is experimenting with some new defensive pairings and some new offensive lines as well.  The departure of Chris Drury and Daniel Briere has created a leadership void that needs to be filled, who will be the guy?

The Sabres also have some key components that will be free agents at the end of the season.  What is the team doing to make sure they don’t have any departures in the offseason?

The NHL announced the Winter Classic, it will take place on January 1, 2008 between the Buffalo Sabres and Pittsburgh Penguins at Ralph Wilson Stadium the home of the Buffalo Bills.  The tickets were a hot commodity and sold out in a half hour and some fans are complaining.  Is their complaint a legitement one?
