Darryn Willoughby, Ph.D., FISSN holds an M.Ed. degree in Exercise Science and a Ph.D. in Neuromuscular Physiology and Biochemistry with a sub-emphasis in Nutritional Biochemistry. Dr. Willoughby is a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine and International Society of Sport Nutrition (ISSN). He is also the current President of the International Society of Sports Nutrition, and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association and a certified exercise and sport nutritionist from the ISSN. Abbie Smith, M.S. is a doctoral student at the University of Oklahoma. She is a columnist for the trade publication, Sports Nutrition Insider. Her column, “Dear Abbie – The Sports Nutrition Siren” is a combination of witty prose coupled with real-world scientific advice. She has published several scientific manuscripts including the “Effects of beta-alanine supplementation and high-intensity interval training on endurance performance and body composition in men; a double-blind trial,” in the Journal of the International Society of Sports Nutrition.

Sheri Colberg, Ph.D. is an author, Exercise Physiologist and Professor of Exercise Science at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. She was also appointed as Adjunct Professor of Internal Medicine at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk. She has authored eight books and over 150 articles on exercise, diabetes, healthy lifestyles, fitness, nutrition, aging, weight loss and more. Elizabeth Brown, M.S., RD, CDE, also known as “The Kitchen Vixen,” is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Holistic Chef, Certified Diabetes Educator and Certified Weight Management Specialist. She holds an M.S. in Nutrition with an emphasis in Sports Nutrition and Weight Management. Her culinary degree is from the Bauman School for Holistic Nutrition. Elizabeth began her fitness career as a personal trainer more than 22 years ago but decided to pursue her degrees in nutrition to help teach clients how food fuels the body. Tim Chapman, M.D. has had an active Clinical Medical Practice for 30 years and has been an Educational Speaker for 20 years. Dr. Chapman is presently the international spokesperson for Fuji Health Science and Astavita, Clinical Consultant for Women’s Health America, Nature’s Sources, BrudyTech of Barcelona, Spain, Pentech Medical Corporation and Performance Labs, a high-tech supplement company. Joel Cramer, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor and Co-Director of the Biophysics Laboratory in the Department of Health and Exercise Science and Adjunct Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Cramer has conducted and published numerous studies that focus on the noninvasive assessment of muscle function in journals such as Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise, Muscle & Nerve, the European Journal of Applied Physiology, the Journal of Electromyography and Kinesiology, Electromyography and Clinical Neurophysiology, the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, and the Journal of Neuroscience Methods.
Adam Brush, CPTS has accumulated over 35 years of baseball experience as athlete and coach. Corry Matthews, M.S. has been turning obstacles into triumphs since she lost her father at age seven. She earned a B.S. in Kinesiology at the University of Colorado and went on to attain an M.S. in Sports Medicine. After getting hooked on Fitness and Figure training she earned her NPC Pro Card in 2006 at the Team Universe Nationals with a perfect score in Figure. Christina Steel, B.S., CPT is an accomplished athlete, Exercise Physiologist, model, and co-owner of her own home personal training company. Mike Sanders, MAEd, CSCS is the Director of Strength and Conditioning at the University of Denver. He received his B.S. and M.S. in Exercise Science from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Michael Ritter has been actively involved with the health and fitness field for 20 years. He has competed in power lifting and is a Natural Bodybuilding Champion. Rich Attonito is currently fights for the American Top Team and has a professional MMA record of 8-4. He is also a Reality Fighting Champion and a 3-time North American Grappling Champion; unscored on in 12 consecutive matches. Rich resulted at the Div I level for Hofstra University, winning the Athletic Academic Award and the most improved wrestler award for the year 2000. Patrick Jacobs, Ph.D. earned his doctorate at the University of Miami. He is currently on faculty with the Department of Exercise Science and Health Promotion at Florida Atlantic University. Patrick is a Licensed Athletic Trainer (State of Florida). He has recently done research on vibration training and the history of the hand-held model that has proliferated in many urban retail centers. Patrick’s writing has been featured in numerous publications including the Journal of Neural Engineering, American Journal of Sports Medicine, Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research and more.
