This past Monday, David Oleksey and Tim Stein talked about the upcoming NHL playoffs, set to start this Wednesday. We spent the entire hour previewing each match-up in both the east and West conferencesd. D_O took notes on who predicted what, and we’ll monitor picks as the playoffs progress.

This past Monday, David Oleksey and Tim Stein talked about the NHL’s officiating, the apparent plan to hold another outdoor NHL game next season in New York at Yankee Stadium. This would make the last sporting event ever to be held in the house that Ruth built a hockey game, not baseball.
We also touched on What should be done with Sean Avery, after his latest incident Sunday night, specifically throwing water bottles into the stands during a Rangers game against Boston, and we also talked about Jarome Iginla becoming the all-time goal scoring leader for the Calgary Flames.

This past Monday, Tim Stein took the reins of Around The Boards and filled in for David Oleksy. the show’s topics this week revolved around the arrests of Ryan O’Byrne and Tom Kostopoulos, Darryl Sutter’s “pep talk” to the Calgary Flames players this past week-end, and of course, the main subject: Richard Zednik’s serious, life-threatening injury that cut his corotid artery, courtesy of the skate of fellow teammate Ollie Jokkinen.
