EaglesFanCast Ep. 21 - Bad Chunky Soup

EaglesFanCast Comments Off

Show recorded Wednesday, January 2nd, 2008

We had some technical difficulties thanks to either Skype or our internet connection, but were able to patch together a show in the end. Sorry about the audio quality, but there was no other time this week we could have done it, so we pushed as far forward with the show that we could… without wanting to smash our microphones through our monitors.

So the Eagles defeated the Buffalo Bills for the final game of the season at home.  They won their final three games, giving hope going into the off-season, despite finishing at 8-8.

Show Notes:

  • The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Buffalo Bills 17-9
  • We talk about the end of the season and it’s disappointments
  • Todd rails on McNabb (again), and we have a friendly debate about it

We’re going to have our season wrap-up show in two weeks, so look for a new show around January 16th!

Eagles FanCast Ep. 20 - Seeking Momentum

EaglesFanCast Comments Off

Show recorded Wednesday, December 26, 2007

The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New Orleans Saints, 38-23 in New Orleans.  The team came together and did a lot correct, and very few things wrong.. a departure from most of the disappointing season.  McNabb’s legs and arm, as well as Westbrook’s amazing running, helped the offense like it hasn’t much seen for most of the season.  Westbrook is on par for many Eagles records, and should break two franchise records this week against the Buffalo Bills at home in Philly.

Show Notes:

  • The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New Orleans Saints in N’Orleans, 38-23
  • Buffalo Bills come to the Linc this Sunday, and we talk briefly about the game
  • Eagles team talk: players, coaches, injuries and picking up a new CB
  • Fantasy Football talk
  • EFC plans past NFL week 17
  • Stay subscribed, we’re not done!!

Eagles FanCast Ep. 19 - Dallas Sucks

EaglesFanCast Comments Off

Show recorded Tuesday, December 18, 2007The Philadelphia Eagles defeat the rival NFC East Dallas Cowboys in Dallas, 10-6. It was a battle as both teams did some hard hitting, some dirty plays by Cowboys players, and the Cowboys offense just couldn’t click. The win was sweet for Eagles fans, but the remotest of hopes were dashed the following night when the Minnesota Vikings won their game, mathematically eliminating the Eagles from the playoff picture. We talk about the win, the disappointment of the season, and the on and off the field troubles by franchise QB Donovan McNabb.

Show Notes:

  • The Philadelphia Eagles beat the Dallas Cowboys in Dallas, 10-6
  • The Eagles are out of playoff contention officially due to the Minnesota Vikings win on Monday Night
  • The Eagles game was a battle that was a lot of fun to watch
  • Brian Westbrook’s one yard line knee… just a selfless act by a great player
  • The Cowboys’ Roy Williams horse collar tackle on Donovan McNabb… we think a one game suspension isn’t enough
  • By the way, all of our predictions were correct!! (Revisit Eagles FanCast Episode 4 for proof!)
  • We talk about McNabb and his remaining contract
  • McNabb’s relationship with Eagles Management
  • Fox Sports’ Pam Oliver’s comments, McNabb’s denial, and the fallout

Eagles FanCast Ep. 18 - What I Want For the Holidays

EaglesFanCast Comments Off

Show Recorded Tuesday, December 11, 2007

The Eagles lose their third straight game, and essentially all chances at a playoff run. The Offense could not click again with Donovan McNabb returning, and the team’s inconsistencies help to decide the fate of a surprisingly dismal season.

Show Notes:

  • Eagles lose at home to the New York Giants 16-13 in another heartbreaker
  • The Offensive first drive looked great, then there was nothing the rest of the game
  • The Eagles lost five games this season by a margin of four points or less
  • We talk about Brian Westbrook’s unbelievable season so far… just about the only bright spot on offense
  • What we want from the Eagles this Holiday Season
  • Briefly talk about what’s out there in the NFL for free agents
  • The Eagles wide receiver core… who stays for 2008?
  • We go to Dallas to take on the Cowboys… here’s our expectations
