Cassandra Forsythe is a PhD student at the University of Connecticut studying exercise science and nutrition under the supervision of Jeff Volek, PhD, RD. In September 2007, her first diet and weight loss book entitled “The Perfect Body Plan” written for Women’s Health Magazine, will be released. Then, in December 2007, her second book with Lou Schuler and Alwyn Cosgrove, entitled “Lift Like a Man, Look Like a Goddess” will be available on shelves. Bob Alejo was the conditioning coach for the Oakland Athletics for nine seasons (1993-2001) during which time the A’s were 2000 Western Division Champions and the 2001 Wild Card team. Prior to the A’s, he was a conditioning coach at UCLA from 1984-1993, involved with 23 men’s and women’s teams. During his tenure, UCLA racked up 25 national and 14 conference championships and produced more than 50 All-Americans.  Bob is also the author of numerous training articles and contributor to several books - most recent being “Complete Conditioning for Soccer from Human Kinetics.”  Bob also has worked for U.S. Volleyball, U.S. Soccer, is a Level-I U.S. Weightlifting Federation coach and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Certification Commission. Additionally, Coach Alejo is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine, the National Strength and Conditioning Association and The International Society of Sports Nutrition.
