Shawn Perine was bitten by the bodybuilding bug after seeing the film “Pumping Iron” at the age of 11. He began training in his basement a year later and at 16 joined Mr. America’s Body Shop on Long Island, owned by former Mr. America Steve Michalik. In 1990 he promoted the NPC Diamond Cup Classic and launched Perine Publications, producing custom newsletters for gyms. In 2002 Shawn launched IronAge.us, a site dedicated to bodybuilding from the 50′s through the 80′s. That same year Shawn began freelancing for FLEX magazine and today he’s entering his sixth year as it’s Senior Writer.

Tracey Greenwood, Ph.D. is a professor at Eastern University. She is also an IFBB Fitness Pro who has captured eight IFBB Professional titles and was runner up at the 2008 Fitness Olympia. Tracey was voted the 2008 FLEX Athlete of the Year and has been featured in many health and fitness publications such as Oxygen, Muscle & Fitness, FLEX, Ironman and more. Tracey also trains aspiring athletes for Fitness and Figure competition. She sponsors her own NPC contest, the Tracey Greenwood Fitness and Figure Classic, and is a judge at the NPC state level.
