Last week word spread that Reggie McKenzie’s house cleaning of Oakland’s front office was well under way as he took his broom to the scouting department. Today the Raiders confirmed those moves with an announcement on their website. Jon Kingdon, George Karras, Bruce Kebric, and Kent McLoughan are all out as McKenzie continues to restructure the Raiders player-personnel department. As reported last week Kingdon and Kebric have been “relieved of their duties” while Karras and McLoughan are retiring. As expected after a report surfaced this morning morning Tyvon Branch made his return to Oakland official by signing the one-year franchise tender applied on March 1st. Reggie McKenzie opted to apply the franchise tag to Branch assuring the standout safety one year on the books for a nice sum of $6-million.
